Summer season is often synonymous with beaches, ballparks and barbecues, all providing appealing snacks and treats. To many moms who are viewing their weight, the back-to-school season is an ideal time to register in their own "Making Smarter Food Choices 101" class and refocus on a balanced diet plan and healthy way of a slim life.
To help these busy ladies make smarter food options, Weight Watchers has partnered with food maker Dawn Food Products Inc. to create a line of sweet baked goods that qualify in convenience, portability and taste. Available across the country in carrot, lemon and chocolate treat cakes and blueberry and double chocolate muffins, Weight Watchers sweet baked products satisfy cravings and are lower in calories and fat than standard sugary foods.
" We all want flexibility in our lives, be it in our daily regimen or in our food options," said Schryse Williams, vice president of customer brands for Dawn Food Products. "It's all about balance and offering consumers the chance to make reasonable options."
A lot of foods can fit into a balanced diet plan - in moderation. Some suggestions for making smarter food options include:
Go whole grain. Take in three or more 1-ounce servings of whole-grain products daily, in addition to three portions of enriched grains.
